NEXT GEN Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max Fingerprint Reader TESTED! | The Tech chap

I’ve had a SNEAK PEAK at Qualcomm’s next-generation Fingerprint Reader – Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max Fingerprint Sensor! It’s bigger, faster and more secure – with a 17x larger sensor, 2-finger authentication, one tap unlock and more! 👉3D Sonic Max: http://bit.ly/2PasZAL [Sponsored by Qualcomm]

  1. I’ve been waiting for such a fast fingerprint scanner like the Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max :-:

Wish Apple’d have done something similar; don’t really like Face ID even though it’s more secure :'(

Toe or nose print reader xD

  2. How about for dry fingers? Also will this need specialist screen protectors? These are the downsides of the current ultra sonic fingerprint readers on Samsung flagships right now. I hate the fingerprint sensor on my S10 plus as way too unreliable

  3. Now THAT’s what I want, well both that amazing fingerprint reader (since the underdisplay first appeared and they talked about larger/all screen version for the future) and secured 3D face unlock (dot projector + IR camera + regular camera AT LEAST), all hosted on a pop up system !
That’s what I want, not those stupid notch or holes, not those stupid curved edges display, not the useless_for_the_moment 5G, I want this !

    My dream phone :
Couple that with a good camera setup that have optical zoom (5 or 10x) and stabilisation and the now normal 960fps slowmo, all available SatNav upgrades to avoid the maps (Waze) apps being totally unable to locate the street you are walking down, notification light, true proximity and ambient light sensor, audio Jack, NFC and wireless charging coupled to a at least 4500 mAh (normal for 2020 phones) battery, Gorilla Glass 5 ou 6 and Always On Display, dual sim + SD or at least 256GB variant not too expensive compared to any lower memory ones (if there is any), a sound with good enough bass (like the Huawei P30 Pro indisplay sound), and Wi-Fi 6 ready for Wi-Fi 6E 6Ghz band and supporting WPA-3.
If possible one compatible with Quick Charge and USB Power Delivery (not locked to brand charger for quick charging) and without software restriction like Chinese brands who lock the Boodloader.
I’d pay a premium price for that premium monster with SD865, and all those tech aren’t so extreme or something like that, many phones have them, just most either only have few or get wasted by a notch or a punch hole…

But secured 3D face and fingerprint reader are definitively the future !

  4. Too bad not able to see the code or mapping data on how this works…. Would be cool to see, but, don’t think that’s gonna happen😅
Gotta love how tech improves & transforms from generation to generation

  5. With the rumors of Samsung dropping ultrasonic, I really think that is the wrong decision, I am really hoping they keep ultrasonic and move to this new one. If they move to optical I will be very disappointed

  6. This is a big leap. Even embedding heart rate sensor in unlocking machanism is intelligent because we unlock our phones around 80 times/ day.

  7. Tom the tech chap: I didn’t check out the beaches bcoz I’m a nerd at heart

So how this fingerprint works is I’ll be honest most of it went over my head but the gist of it is…🤣🤣🤣

  8. How is that negligible increase in area, 17 times larger than current fingerprint scanner sizes? It’s at the most 3 – 4 times bigger? Wtf? All techtubers are regurgitating the same thing just because qualcom said so in their presentation, yet the rectangular box is not even a third the size of that 6 inch + screen! Do you guys actually read what you guys claim before posting videos? 17 times bigger than current fingerprint scanner would make the whole screen a fingerprint scanner if it were the size of an 8 inch tablet! Not just the bottom third of a narrow 6 inch phone.

  9. It is a shame the new s20 phones by Samsung don’t use the new 3D sonic max scanner but instead retain the same tiny sensor that was found on the s10 lineup last decade.

  10. I really hope they incorporate this in the Galaxy 20 note or I’m not getting it. The current super Sonic fingerprint scanner on the note 10 is horrible

  11. What the heck happened to this? Samsungs new phones don’t have this. Qualcomm shows of the new sensor but puts out something inferior in the new samsungs s21’s. SMH

  12. This is soo fast compared to the shitty fingerprint scanners we have in our phones today I hope we Will see it soon

  13. Will the exynos 9/990 have this as it obviously doesnt have anything to to with Qualcomm (will only Qualcomm powered devices get this)?🙏🙏🤷🤷
