Linux is likely way less optimized, but so much slimmer and leaner by default. major distros, KDE Plasma desktop, no issues.

Is it true that the Surface Laptop 7 15’ is faster than the 13.8’ ?
I’m a developer myself, so I found the test interesting. But what about the screens? We know they consume roughly 50% of the power, almost on par with the CPU power consumption. Since MacBook are using LCD screen, that make them more efficient, but OLED screens are way nicer, but less efficient. Were they at the same brightness level? That’s the missing key if this video. And like I saw in another comment, there is no mention of the AMD best CPUs.

I bought a new surface pro and I was shocked with how long the battery lasted. I went to bed after a full day of use and my pro still had about 30% battery left.
I did notice that playing 3D games like Halo 3 and Reach destroyed the battery life, which was expected, but games like Master Duel and 2D platformers was just fine even after hours of play. I also watched a couple of movies, drew in photoshop and browsed the web during the day and the battery was just fine. I’m pretty happy with my purchase.
Both XPS 13 and Surface Laptop 6 aren’t a good option! Please consider Lenovo IdeaPad Slim/Pro 5 or VivoBook S16 for Ultra 5/7!

i got the lenevo yoga 9i pro with intel ultra 9 with 4060 i hoped for a good battery life because of intel evo certification but i only get 3 hours battery backup on web surfing

SUBSCRIBED! This is the most incredible laptop test on YouTube! Please oh please test one of the new Ryzen Zen5 AI HX 370 or HX 365 laptops, perhaps the Asus zenbook s16! Maybe add 2 of them in a followup video & add them to your graphs? Ryzen zen5 Asus zenbook S16 is an attempt to make a MacBook Air like x86 laptop, and could be as good as the average Snapdragon laptop!
P.S. I had an i9 MacBook pro 2019 it is the most horrible life laptop of my entire lifetime! Dies on wall outlet power if you’re in a video conference and screen sharing and video streaming! Had to set fans to 100% manually to avoid thermal throttling!
